The average U.S. taxpayer pays $21 a year in taxes to subside Israeli weapons procurement.  That's $30 billion dollars a year.         I know how we could pay down some debt, stop funding Palestinian deaths.

Dems get half a million more votes but still lose house

House Democrats got half a million more votes than the repugs and yet the repugs win a majority of seats.   Excellent job on gerrymandering.

On another note, (that can be related as why do politicians tend to drift more rightward than what they were elected to represent):  Why is Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) joining the rightwing New Democrat Coalition?  He represents almost half of the most liberal city in the country, Seattle.

Modern-day plutocracy

republicans were screaming so much about the debt and how it is a problem and the biggest one too.  Now when the largest spending cut plan in modern history (perhaps even longer) comes up as a option, they are all against it.

Why?

1. Because republicans don't make sense.  (The close trait to logic they seem to possess is ideological blood thirst.)

2.  They want to only cut funding for allowing access for college, allowing citizens to receive needed healthcare, and helping the poorest in America get food.       They want to increase the largest (by ~20x) "defense" budget in the world, so we can kill more people overseas and create more terrorism.  This budget should really be called the "offense" budget.

Let's face it.  Modern-day republicans are not only trying to destroy our country; they are destroying our country.  They put themselves, their party, and their campaign contributors (Exxon, Citibank, BoA,  Boeing, Papa Murphy's, Home Depot, Koch Industries, Sands Corp) ahead of our country.

If it wasn't for gerrymandering, they would not be in control of the House.

Romney's Tax Avoidance Finally Released

Also of note:

He's running for President of the Country he wants to destroy.

                                                      Capitalizing on bane

So much for government not creating jobs.                      The only way that's going to happen is if Romney gets the government job he wants to he can start laying people off.  After all thats what gets the 'economy' going again. (scott adams vs. jack welch)

[Some] Republicans put their hate of Obama over the good of their country...again:

(At least it is just the craziest of the crazy republicans (who unfortunately control the party now) and faux news who put hate of Obama over the good of the Country)
